Social Venture Partners is having a Fast Pitch presentation competition for nonprofits. Ten nonprofits chosen as finalists for Fast Pitch will first get a chance to take part in a two-month accelerator program, taking part in workshops on finance, marketing, sales, leadership and management, as well as one-on-one coaching from a Social Venture Partners mentor.
The Fast Pitch competition will be held in early November, with participants making a 3- to 5-minute pitch explaining why donors should support their organization, similar to the ABC TV show “Shark Tank.” Fast Pitch winners will get cash, with about $40,000 expected to be awarded.
Applications for the Fast Pitch competition are online here. The application deadline is Aug. 14 and finalists will be announced Aug. 21. The Fast Pitch competition will be held in early November. The application process looks easy and there is still time if you’re interested. Just another way the Upper Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce is looking to support nonprofits.
